Less than a week after founder Rob Thomas told the Chronicle he'd be launching his new site, CollegeRoyalty is up and running. (I know, I know. I say it too. Who the hell are we to criticize the delay of a new website? Thomas has us beat by months.)
Not many royals have signed on yet. Not that I'm totally anxious to see what could have the potential to turn into a poor student's next stumble in social-networking humiliation. Well, okay, maybe just a little.
If it gets anywhere near as bad as this D.C.-based clique, we could have a local "reality" phenomenon to distract us.
