tonight

I'll be at the Hatton Gallery in the Visual Arts Building on the CSU campus to hear non-fiction Pulitzer Prize writer and Colorado State alumnus Jim Sheeler speak, part of the Creative Writing Program's 2007 Reading Series. The shindig starts at 7:30. From the release:

"Sheeler, a technical journalism graduate from Colorado State, won the 2006 Pulitzer Prize for his Rocky Mountain News feature story chronicling a year in the life of a Marine major who helped the families of comrades killed in Iraq cope with their loss and honor their sacrifice.

Originally from Houston, he began his award-winning career as an entertainment reporter at The Rocky Mountain Collegian, followed by positions at the Boulder Daily Camera as a senior staff writer and as a freelance writer for The Denver Post."
