so sue 'em!


So, Best Buy won't accept your gift return, because they no longer carry that item? Or maybe Blockbuster sends your checking account reeling after charging you the cost of a movie plus re-shelving fees, despite not charging "late fees."

You don't have to put up with this, people. You don't have to be bullied by the big guys. Sue them!

A reader's post to Consumerist.com today details how cheap and easy it is to take big companies to small claims. Sounds like fun, actually, and you may win:


It [is] important to note that corporations can't use an attorney in small claims and they have to send (fly) a representative that is NOT fully versed on the facts. It's easier to just pay from their point of view. In small claims, they are stripped of their lawyers and the odds are in favor of the consumer.
