Get up, get into it, get involved: Roaring lion edition

This weekend is shaping up to have some beautiful weather, but for overly conscientious citizens, there are two events on Saturday and one concert on Sunday where we can get our activism on while roaring like a lion into March:

On Saturday, Democratic Reps. John Kefalas and Randy Fischer will hold a town hall meeting at Colorado State University, inside the Warner College of Natural Resources, Room 113, from 10:30am to 12:30pm.

That same day, from 2-4pm, there will be a community forum, "Reducing Barriers and Changing Attitudes: A forum for and by Disabled Community Members and their Allies," at the Fort Collins Public Library at 201 Peterson Street. Panelists will include Vivian Armendariz of the Public Access Transit Group, Terry Schlicting of the city Commission on Disability, and Babs Johnson of Denver Adapt.

For Sunday, Avogadro's Number at 605 S. Mason Street is hosting the No Glow Fundraising Concert for Coloradoans Against Resource Destruction, the citizens' group leading the charge against uranium mining in Northern Colorado. The concert will run from 10am to 7pm and feature a full lineup of local music, including the Bluegrass Patriots, Lloyd Drust, Markus Noah and Russ Hopkins. The show is free, but organizers are asking for $10 donations from folks.
