mexorcism tonight!

Pocha Nostra founder and “All Things Considered” contributor Guillermo Gómez-Peña challenges Lory Student Center Theatre audiences with a performance piece called “The Mexorcist,” starting tonight at 6 p.m., and a lecture/audio-visual performance entitled “Ethno Techno: In search of a new aesthetic,” scheduled for tomorrow at 6 p.m.

The performances are presented by the Student Organization for Visual Arts. Pocha Nostra, an artist collective based in San Francisco’s vibrantly energetic Mission district, exists not only to erase “art world” borders but to “eradicate myths of purity and dissolve borders surrounding culture, ethnicity, gender, language, and métier.”
