I'm hearing rumors from various sources, both on the street and in the industry, that a small group of recent DU grads will debut a new weekly in Denver this month. Here's what I've heard so far:
At least part, if not all, of the funding is coming from personal loans taken out by the founders.
They've attempted to contract with artist Matt Bors (a popular university newspaper illustrator and cartoonist who recently moved to Portland; his "Idiot Box" comic can also be read in the Chronicle).
It will be called Insight. (Yuck. Yuck. Yuck. Sounds like a newsletter for IBM.)
A big ol' canard? If not, I'm sure Mike Roberts will have something to say in his weekly Westword column, so if you're not in Denver often enough to look out for it, I recommend checking in with him for the real lowdown.
