The news is true. Tom Tancredo has announced he will not run for reelection in the U.S. House of Representatives in 2008.
"I've done everything I can do," he told the Denver Post.
(And if by "everything", he means introducing a slew of legislation that never went anywhere and managing to alienate Latinos, Muslims, Westerners, even his own party for five terms in office, he's probably right. Job well done, Congressman.)
