To a Fort Collins bicycle enthusiast, of which there are many, perhaps nothing sounds more romantic than taking a bike trek across Europe to explore foreign cultures and countrysides without the hindrance of a windshield or train window. While some might prefer the rush of going it alone, minus an itinerary, others enjoy the prospect of guides for the experience.
Rick Price, founder of locally based bike-touring company Experience Plus and president of the Friends of Fort Collins Bicycle Program, has been giving European bike tours for more than two decades. Tonight he is giving a slideshow and hosting a discussion on the topic. Though the lot of us many not have a dime saved away to consider an Old World trip, the fantasy alone is reason enough to attend.
