I highly recommend a trip to the Opera Galleria (123 N. College Ave.) in downtown Fort Collins today for the second-annual Bringing Home the Holidays, a community market of crafts and seasonal foods made by folks in Larimer and Weld counties.
While we may be "deeply green," it's hard not to turn into a fair-weathered locavore during the holidays, and I can attest that last year's selections were truly unique. The market is sponsored by the locally based National Center for Craftsmanship, the Northern Colorado Food Incubator, and the Local Living Economy Project, creators of the Be Local coupon book, which is a fine gift itself for people who live in the area. The sustainable slinging continues through 4 p.m.
