National park shoots down elk — and wolf recovery
While sitting in on a media conference call this morning to announce the release of Rocky Mountain National Park's elk management plan, I couldn't help but wonder how long until enviros announced their intent to sue over the scheme. Well, they wasted no time. I got this release from Sinapu and Forest Guardians five minutes before the Park Service sent out its general release about its plan to use park-sanctioned sharpshooters to keep the herd down.
