Notorious Colorado cannibal Alferd Packer was supposedly chastised by a judge before his hanging for disproportionately feasting on Democrats. Packer's descendants could have a buffet in Larimer County these days, as the Dems are buzzing around with a flurry of activity in the next week. Tonight: Recently announced House District 49 candidate Lilias Jarding, who hopes to take down incumbent Republican Kevin Lundberg, will meet with voters at the T Bar Inn at 3803 W. Clevand Ave. in Wellington at 7pm.

Sat., January 12: Town Hall meeting with Democratic lawmakers, Sen. Bob Bacon, Rep. Randy Fischer and Rep. John Kefalas at the Coloradoan community room, 1300 Riverside Ave., 9:30-11:30 am.
Tue., January 15: Hillary Clinton caucus training, Harmony Library community room, 6-7:30 pm.
