Democratic Congressional candidate Betsy Markey is opening her campaign headquarters this evening, and inviting the public to come check out the digs and otherwise get to know the candidate. Markey is running against Congresswoman Marilyn Musgrave, who hasn't disclosed what her plans are for tonight.Markey's open house will be at 419 Canyon Avenue, Suite 315, Fort Collins, from 6pm to 8pm. She and her staff are also asking visitors to bring a canned good, peanut butter or a what-have-you nonperishable to donate to Larimer County Food Bank. To RSVP, call 221-1473.
Also, tonight, Fort Collins Utilities is putting on a Green Economy open house at the city Senior Center, at 1200 Raintree Drive, starting at 7pm.
After the civic stops, go check out musical journeyman and Chronicle contributor Brian Hull, who will be playing at Lucky Joe's in Old Town, FC, starting at 9pm.
