progressive? leader?

I'm not sure I'm deserving of either of those labels but I'll nonetheless be discussing local issues with other supposed progressives (okay, they probably truly are) this evening at the Hilton in Fort Collins.

I guess I'm posting this here because I'm not sure how word is getting out otherwise. I mean, I edit the supposedly "progressive" newspaper, but no info was sent to our listings editor for this week's calendars, so it'll be interesting to see who shows up. It'll be impossible to pull from the crowd that will be gathered with Josh and Jess, taking place at the same time, to celebrate closing on their new home. Sigh. No margaritas for me.

So, the deets. Place: Hilton. Time: Too long — I mean, 5-6 is the community reception; 6-7, welcome and panel discussion; 7-8, mingle and meet. I'm not sure what the difference between the reception and the mingling will be except hors d'oeuvres and drinks at the reception.

The event is sponsored by the Colorado Progressive Coalition and the American Civil Liberties Union. As far as I can tell, others on the panel include Cheryl Distaso of the Center for Justice Peace and the Environment, and Jennifer Lowe of the Lambda Community Center.
