derailed — for good?

The daily papers are reporting that Tom Tancredo, Colorado's one-issue Congressman and the Republicans' perhaps longest-shot candidate, will withdraw his bid for president. That probably marks the last stop on the Tancrazy Train, although I'm certain he'll take his immigrant bashing along a different track.

Perhaps the ol' Tancster will become an "advocate" with the Federation for American Immigration Reform, whose numbers Tancredo and his ilk (and, unfortunately, too many in the media) frequently cite. The group's ties to white supremacy were recently outed in an in-depth and well-written report from the Southern Poverty Law Center.
