A friend sent along a link to the artwork of Chris Jordan, and the collection, Running the Numbers, An American Self-Portrait, which is well worth viewing and contemplating his consumerist commentary. Here's one of his works, first the entire image:

Jordan used 32,000 Barbies to create his mosiac, equal to the number of elective breast augmentation surgeries performed monthly in the US in 2006. His other work is equally intriguing, although it has fewer plastic naked bodies.
